Doug Lang
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of driver Doug Lang on August 18, 2025, at the age of 60.
Doug had many professions over the years, including commercial truck driver, salesman, farm hand, running a hotel and professional storyteller. He always had time for a chat or a phone call, no matter what the task at hand was.
Doug began driving trucks in 1996 for Federated Co-op in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. That was where he discovered his true calling. He spent 29 years on the road for various companies hauling many different types of freight across Canada and the United States. In 2010, he found his forever job with CPC and was assigned to drive for John Deere Canada.
Doug quickly established himself as a team player and was well respected by his fellow drivers. Almost 15 years and 3 million kilometers later, he always looked forward to heading back out on another run.
Doug had many hobbies, including camping, fishing, snowmobiling, sports, demolition derby and family vacations. Everyone who knew him understood that he loved a good party. Whether it was a birthday, anniversary or for no reason at all, he enjoyed being around friends and family having a good time. One of the things Doug cherished most was spending time with his lake family. As he would always say, “We cook a big ugly meal, eat way too much and have a soda or three afterwards.”

Derrick Mason
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Derrick Mason, who was assigned to drive for a large consumer packaged goods company in Alexandria, Louisiana. Derrick was well liked by all, a true friend and a professional truck driver who took pride in his work. He was known for his humor, kindness and the way he looked out for others, making him a joy to be around and a respected member of our team.
Derrick leaves behind his mother, Rosetta Mason, along with four sisters and three brothers, as well as many friends and coworkers whose lives he touched. His legacy of friendship, professionalism and dedication will not be forgotten.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of Doug and Derrick during this difficult time.
