CPC Logistics driver Don Hill was announced as a 2021 Procter & Gamble (P&G) Driver of the Year at P&G’s annual Carrier Summit held in February 2022. Out of the tens of thousands of drivers who touch P&G freight every year and the 14 who were nominated for this award, Don was recognized for several achievements, including more than 130,000 miles driven to support P&G, an on-time delivery rate of over 97 percent, and completion of more than 400 P&G shipments.
“I want to thank P&G for this Driver of the Year award,” Don said. “It is amazing and very thoughtful. CPC is the best job I have ever had. The pay is good, the home time is good, and overall, it is above any other standard trucking job. I appreciate a company like CPC that appreciates hard workers and acknowledges them for it.”
Over the course of his impressive 33-year career as a professional driver, Don has logged more than three million miles without a single accident or ticket. Currently assigned to the P&G domicile in Edwardsville, Illinois, he has driven for CPC since September 2019. In 2020, Don was honored as an NPTC National Driver All-Star and earned the CPC 5 Year Safe Driver Award.
“Don’s professionalism and desire to go above and beyond his normal duties make him an outstanding team member,” said Sam Currie, CPC Regional Manager. “Don always ensures the tractors are maintained with correct fluid levels, the tires are checked, and he is sure to communicate with management when something needs attention. It is a pleasure having Don as part of the CPC team.”
Congratulations on your well-deserved honor, Don, and keep up the great work!
