Early on the morning of July 22, CPC Logistics drivers Robert Valentine and Nathan Richmond—both assigned to Walgreens in Houston—departed for Kerr County, Texas. They were on a mission to deliver donations to support those impacted by devastating floods that swept through the area July 4.

“Mr. Valentine and Mr. Richmond did not hesitate for a second to volunteer for this mission to get relief out to Kerr County,” said CPC Operations Manager Luke Lenius. “They take pride in having the opportunity to help others who need it, and it is in line with CPC’s core value of doing the right thing.”
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office organized a week-long drive that raised more than 100 pallets of supplies, including diapers, canned food, hygiene items and pet supplies. To help transport the materials to Kerr County, Walgreens donated two trucks, and Robert and Nathan contributed their time and talents.
“It was great to work with the sheriff’s department, Walgreens and CPC to be able to set up and deliver an operation like this that gets supplies out to an area that desperately needs them,” Luke said. “I know Mr. Valentine and Mr. Richmond would jump on the opportunity to help again with something like this if the opportunity were there.”
CW39 in Houston covered the delivery. View the full story here.
