After hearing team members at a Walgreens store on his delivery route in Hoover, Alabama, were having a rough day, CPC driver Karl Burroughs took it upon himself to buy pizza for the team to cheer them up.
“Karl is the regular driver in several parts of my area,” said David Sheppard, director of pharmacy and retail operations for Walgreens. “Managers and team members provide great comments about how he interacts and supports the stores. He is an asset to CPC and is appreciated by the people he serves.”
CPC and Walgreens are proud of Karl for his kindness not just to this delivery site, but to everyone he encounters.
“All the team members in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, praise his positive attitude, demonstration of caring and work ethic,” said Charlie Greene, district manager for Walgreens.
Meanwhile, CPC driver Jimmy Young went out of his way to make Red Nose Day at a Walgreens store in Oneida, Tennessee, one to remember. During a delivery, the store’s manager asked if students from Oneida Special School District could pose for a photo in front of his truck. After finishing his deliveries, he took his lunch break to return to the store, buy red noses for himself and all the students, and pose for a photo.
“This is a prime example of the culture at CPC, not just on the job but also within the communities our drivers service,” said CPC’s Southeastern Region Safety Supervisor Jeff Boyington. “Of CPC’s three pillars, Jimmy highlighted ‘Do what’s Right,’ ‘Respect Others,’ and ‘Perform with Excellence.’ Jimmy represented CPC and our valued client in such a positive light.”
These drivers are another reason why we say, “The Best Drivers Drive CPC!”
