Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the five 2020 Drivers of the Year did not receive their awards. Committed to recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of drivers, CPC managers are visiting the 2020 Drivers of the Year to present their awards in person.
Steven Navarro has been with CPC since 1989 and is assigned to ICU Medical in Santa Fe Springs, California. Steve always has a positive attitude and never fails to go above and beyond for CPC customers. When the COVID-19 shutdown brought rioters and protesters, Steve never complained or showed any fear. He came to work every day, gave up a previously scheduled vacation, showed concern for his co-workers, and filled in wherever he could to help get the job done. His perseverance is commendable.
Mark Egert has worked with CPC since February 2018 and is assigned to John Deere Shared Services in Davenport, Iowa. He was the first driver hired for the John Deere Container Division and since that time, he has shown he is a true leader. He was first tasked with driving around the Quad Cities and monitoring the Deere container chassis, checking each one for defects and then either reporting or repairing them. Since then, Mark has moved to delivery of container loads to the John Deere factories in Iowa and Illinois. He has become the go-to guy when an unexpected need arises concerning a special delivery or moving trailers. Mark is known for having a positive attitude, a smile on his face and a joke for everyone.
Bruce Wright earned the 2020 Driver of the Year distinction for the Canadian Division of CPC Logistics. During his employment with CPC, he was assigned to Bridgestone Canadian Fleet Operations in Quebec. He was the first driver assigned to the new fleet in 2006 and was an invaluable resource during its start-up. Bruce’s knowledge and skills as a professional driver, his approach to business, and ability to lead by example have earned him a key role at Bridgestone. He consistently mentors and assists other drivers by offering support and solutions to issues that arise during day-to-day operations.
