On March 14, CPCLS driver Adonis Cruz was making store deliveries in Vermont for Shaw’s Supermarkets. He became stranded in the middle of a winter storm that dropped 18 to 24 inches of snow. While on Route 9 near Bennington, the road closed due to downed trees and power lines. One tree fell on the cab of his truck, and another fell behind the trailer, blocking him in as the snow accumulated.
He was unable to move his truck due to the location of some power lines near his tractor. Local and state police were made aware of the situation and worked tirelessly to get him to safety. He was in his tractor for 14 hours until he was eventually rescued by Vermont Electric personnel and state police. The customer was impressed with his performance and ability to deal with the situation.
Adonis is just one more reason why we say, “The best drivers drive CPC.”
