Cover Story: Six CPC Drivers Named Driver All-Stars

CPC is proud to celebrate six drivers who were recently recognized as 2022 National Private Truck Council (NPTC) National Driver All-Stars. The addition of these drivers into the National Driver All-Star ranks brings CPC’s total number of NPTC National Driver All-Stars to 104 since the program began in 2009.

As part of a ceremony at the annual NPTC Safety Conference on September 8 in Orlando, Florida, each driver was individually recognized by the NPTC for excellence in professionalism, service and safety. CPC is proud to present these excellent drivers for recognition. As you will see below, each is worthy of celebrations, not only for their outstanding work as CPC drivers, but for the length of their careers.

Perry Buckner, assigned to Fabri-Kal

• Started as a driver in 1999 (23 years)
• Driven 2.3 million miles
• CPC driver for 10 years and 1.25 million miles

 

Tony Dinisi, assigned to Toyota Quality Parts Express

• Driver Since 1996 (26 years)
• Driven 2.2 million miles
• With CPC for 21.5 years and 1.8 million miles

 

Calvin Mangler, assigned to John Deere

• Driver since 1982 (39 years)
• Driven 3.5 million miles
• With CPC for 24 years and 2.4 million miles

 

Steve Rawlins, assigned to Walgreens

• Driver since 1989 (32 years)
• Driven 2.6 million miles
• With CPC for 21.5 Years and 1.8 million miles

 

Loyd Wood, assigned to a large consumer packaged goods company

• Driver since 1975 (47 years)
• Driven 4 million miles
• With CPC for 2.5 years and 220,000 miles

 

Nathan Carter, assigned to Moen

• Started as a driver in 1979 (36 years)
• Driven 3.6 million miles
• With CPC for 5.5 years and 550,000 accident-free miles
