Driver Turned Hero: Meet Jeff Morris

Jeff Morris began his career with CPC Logistics in August 2005. He was originally assigned to drive for the Bridgestone/Firestone account as a relay driver out of Woodridge, Illinois. However, he was reassigned to John Deere Shared Services in Joliet, Illinois, in March 2021.

During his time with CPC, Jeff has received the One Million Mile Award and is currently closing in on earning the Two Million Mile Award. Jeff was also named a CPC Driver of the Month in July 2022.

“Jeff is a very hard worker,” said CPC Regional Manager Sam Currie. “He is always looking to assist wherever he can with John Deere operations or his fellow driver colleagues.”

While driving earlier this year, Jeff came upon a woman laying on the ground outside of her vehicle at mile marker 24 on Interstate 80. He made his way to the next exit, called 911, then circled back to try to help. It became clear to Jeff that the woman was having a seizure. He stayed and helped her until the police and paramedics arrived.

We are proud to have this hero as part of the CPC Logistics driving team. Jeff Morris is just another example of why we say, “The Best Drivers Drive CPC!”
