On January 3, 2024, April Thomas—a driver assigned to a large consumer packaged goods company in Albany, Georgia—came to work like it was just a normal day. But things proved to be anything but routine. April began navigating through the guard shack and making her way back to truck parking. Upon arrival, she saw one of her fellow drivers, who was not looking “right.” She asked him if everything was OK, and he said that he was fine.
Ultimately, through a series of events, April ended up assisting the distressed driver, which resulted in that driver staying safe.
“April’s actions are a reminder that we all have a choice to help someone daily, no matter how big or small the challenge is,” said CPC Regional Manager Greg Boyington. “April has a passion for being a beacon of light in a world that’s filled with bad news or strife that we all read or hear about daily. She is an example of CPC’s core values: Do what’s right, respect others, and perform with excellence. We are all very lucky and proud to have April as part of the CPC team in Albany.”
CPC congratulates April’s distinction as a recipient of the President’s Award.
