What is a Non-CDL?

Non-CDL drivers are more limited in the vehicles they can operate, which are vehicles under 8,000 pounds. The specific duties for non-CDL drivers vary significantly, depending on industry and type of company.

In general, non-CDL drivers transport goods, materials, or even clients to a destination within a specified time. While a driver with a CDL has more professional options, there are plenty of jobs available for people who do not have a CDL.

How to Drive for CPC

All driver jobs have minimum qualification requirements of at least one year of experience. Some require two or more years, as well as the ability to meet all Department of Transportation requirements. However, for Non-CDL drivers, requirements may be different.
