Warehouse Operations Manager | Portland OR

CPC Logistics is seeking a safety focused and leadership oriented Warehouse Manager in a fast paced Portland OR warehouse environment.

Warehouse in Gresham OR is seeking leadership for an implementation of staff transition. This individual will report to site General Manager and coordinate closely with Warehouse Supervisor to create a culture of safety and excellence.

JOB DUTIES

– Leading daily shift and safety meetings.

– Managing the receiving, proper storage, retrieval and shipment of product to customers.

– Responsible for overseeing hiring and onboarding of new warehouse associates and ensuring they are properly trained and safety focused.

– Managing and distributing daily work assignments with the help of Operations Supervisor

– Resolving day to day issues with the support of the General Manager of the facility

– Enforce company policies and procedures which includes taking disciplinary action when needed.

– Maintaining proper housekeeping conditions of the facility; ensure security of the building and inventory, as well as the safety of employees working.

– Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to inform upper management on warehouse operations.

– Supervise daily activities of the warehouse team (receiving, inspections, shipping, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

– 2 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution management
– Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office with specific emphasis on Excel and Word
– Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
– Proven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations, and taking calculated initiative to drive improvements
– Effective oral and written communications
– Demonstrated project management, time management and organization skills
