Supply Chain Volunteering Week

In support of Supply Chain Volunteering Week June 9-15, a group from Walgreens in Linden, New Jersey, in collaboration with team members from CPC, volunteered at the Community Food Bank in Hillside, New Jersey.

“This was an excellent opportunity for everyone involved to learn how New Jersey is fighting hunger and poverty,” said CPC Operations Manager Alex Campos. “We discovered that the food bank produces an average of 84 million meals annually, feeding 640,000 families, including 1.8 million children. They also provide hygiene products, benefiting 10 million families.”

By the end of the day, the volunteers exceeded the quota by preparing 560 boxes for people suffering from diabetes.
