CPC congratulates driver Jose Jaime on his recent retirement. Jose has been assigned to drive for Walgreens in Puerto Rico for more than 17 years and has been an outstanding driver and employee. We wish him all the best in this next chapter of his life.
CPC also extends best wishes for a happy retirement to driver Melvin Marks. Mel has been with CPC since September of 1986 and was assigned to Walgreens in Orlando, Florida. Over the span of his career, he worked as a peddle driver, relay driver and a driver trainer. An outstanding professional driver, Mel’s commitment to safety was always at the forefront of his driving.
Members of CPC’s and Walgreens’ management teams recently gathered with driver David Corning and his wife April to celebrate his retirement after 30 years of service. David began his career with CPC in April of 1994 and was assigned to Walgreens in Windsor, Wisconsin.
“Starting out, Dave would be logging hours before the sun came up, performing pre-trips and getting ready for a successful day,” said CPC Operations Manager Curt Ryan. “In the later years with CPC, Dave started running to Chicago two times per night. At times, he would get pulled from that to cover a relay. Dave knew that servicing the stores was our customers’ No. 1 priority. Dave has adapted to many changes over the years and kept a positive attitude throughout. He was always there doing it the right way, the CPC way.”
Present to celebrate with David were CPC Chief Operating Officer Dan Most, CPC Division Manager Ray Miles, Sloan Brunner, Chris Whitehurst, Mary Weisenel, Eric Luther, Steve Kichak, Curt Ryan, Clint Starin, and Don Rogers.
“Dave, in the future, we hope you’re as successful in your hunting blind or boat as you have been the past 30 years at CPC,” Curt said. “Congratulations on 30 years!”
