CPC Logistics was grateful for the opportunity to escort 8-year-old Noah Spence and his family to a Make-A-Wish visit to the John Deere parts distribution center in Milan, Illinois, on June 8. CPC Safety Supervisor Kevin Ogle drove the John Deere fleet vehicle that transported the Spence family to the distribution center where Noah received a tour and helped workers pick and scan parts.
Noah was born with spina bifida, a condition in which a baby’s spinal cord fails to develop properly in the womb. He’s had a lifelong fascination with machines, so he was excited for this Make-A-Wish visit, which was delayed for five years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Participating in the Make-A-Wish program for Noah and his family was an honor,” Kevin said. “Seeing the joy that it brought him was one of the highlights of my 10 years working for CPC. I believe programs such as Make-A-Wish help bring a little light into many families’ lives, and I support them fully.”
After his trip to Milan Noah and his family traveled to John Deere locations in Waterloo, Illinois, before returning to their home in Ohio.
